The point you become hoggish, and wish to get "lucky", is the time you squander all of your cash. Seems a bit weird, but it seems to be accurate. It seems the only time I ever come away with money is when I don’t panic about losing it. I headed to the the casino last night with $20 in cash. I could not care any less about blowing it, I mean, what is twenty dollars? So guess what happened? I left with one hundred and twenty dollars in profit in just one hour!
A different occassion I headed to the casino with my buddy Mike. I took with me $100 that I couldn’t afford to lose. I got gluttonous, I got scared, and I ended up betting too much and losing it in thirty mins! The lesson my friends is never bet anymore than you can stand to lose. If you don’t panic about losing, you have a greater chance of winning big!
What other ways can you improve your chances of winning at Roulette besides setting a budget? Never wager on individual numbers! Yes, they come up every once in a while, but they don’t hit often enough to guarantee a steady profit. Just bet on 1:1 wagers like red, black, even, odd, 1-18, and 19-36, and 2:1 bets like first 12, 2nd dozen, third 12, etc Wager on odds that pay pretty big.
With the basic rules covered, how else might we further increase our odds of succeeding at Roulette? By turning probability into our buddy, instead of our mortal enemy. "You can not be a winner at Roulette", my friend Ben would say to me. "It is completely random because any number could come up". Absolutely, my buddy Charles certainly has a point, although at the same time, he is overlooking an important aspect of the picture. I totally agree, red or black can come up thirty times in a row, but how often does that happen?
